Parking Lot with Pooling water
A few months back we completed a complete parking lot repair project. The customer called with concerns about a parking lot drainage problem. He also noted several other concerns with his parking surface.
Parking Lot Repair Consultation
Our consultant set up a walk through with the customer and did a complete parking lot evaluation. His assessment concluded that their parking lot was experiencing a premature failure and was less than 15 years old. He also found water was not draining properly and was pooling at the manhole, making a lake in the middle of their parking lot. Consequently, this was a huge liability concern for them.
We advised the customer that just patching and doing repairs to the parking lot would over time cost more than removing and replacing the current deteriorated asphalt. This customer was ready to invest thousands of dollars toward patching the lot each year when a complete renovation was much more cost effective. We further advised that a retaining pond would need to be built in order for the water problem to be solved.
Proper Planning and the correct Solutions save money and time
We solved the water drainage dilemma by digging out and building a new retaining pond. This allowed for the water to have a place to go after a hard rain. Along with the new drainage system we also completely removed the current asphalt lot and replaced it with a brand new properly designed parking lot. Our customer was overjoyed that we eliminated their liability with the new retaining pond, saved them money in the long run and solved their problem for years to come. Other contractors had offered just mere patching when what they really needed was to redo the entire lot the right way. ASP offered and delivered their solution!
